JOSHUA TO STAR IN LONDON FIGHT FOR BRITISH FANS
Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) is raring to return in front of British fans after recent major heavyweight fights were held in Saudi Arabia.
Promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren are in touch with Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi’s greater entertainment authority.
Alalshikh is looking at the Fury-Uysk winner after their May 18 bout.
The winner should co-star with Joshua at the Wembley Stadium in September.
He will have to convince the loser of the Fury-Usyk fight to step aside and allow the winner to face Joshua.
“We are waiting for the result of Usyk vs Fury,” Alalshik said on X (formerly Twitter).
FURY TO GO AFTER JOSHUA IF HE WINS, SAYS HRGOVIC
Filip Hrgovic is convinced Fury will go after Joshua if he beats Usyk for the undisputed title.
Hrgovic admits boxing fans want another Fury-Joshua faceoff but plans can still change.
Hearn expects Joshua’s next fight in London will be for a world title.
JOSHUA COULD FACE HRGOVIC-DUBOIS WINNER IN LONDON
Hrgovic said Joshua could face the winner between him and Daniel Dubois after their June 1 fight.
“The plan is for the vacant IBF title to be on the line against Dubois. It should be me against Dubois,” Hrgovic said.
The Canadian professional fighter describes facing Joshua as “the dream fight.”
He hopes to beat Dubois to make a Hrgovic-Joshua fight a reality.
Hearn is aware of the Hrgovic-Dubois fight.
The promoter considers Joshua’s pairing with either of them as huge.
“It’s been mentioned and it’s a huge fight, a huge opponent for me, the world title as well it’d be huge all around,” Hearn said.
