Bradley picks Crawford over Canelo

Retired boxer and former Manny Pacquiao’s rival Timothy Bradley said he would pick Terrence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) over Canelo Alvarez.

Crawford is at the tail end of his career, and Bradley thinks that Alvarez would be his perfect dance partner.

However, the Mexican fighter is a super middleweight, three weight classes above Crawford.

Despite the gap division, the 38-year-old Bradley thinks that his fellow American has an edge over Alvarez.

“It’s a tough task for Terence,” said Bradley on Fight Hub TV. “But at the same time, I would back him.”

“I would pick Terence Crawford to beat Canelo Alvarez, even at 168.”

Bradley thinks that no one “has seen any boxer like Terence Crawford” based on skills and intelligence inside the squared ring.

Bradley also claims that the 36-year-old has the ring smarts like undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“I never seen anybody that has everything. Good speed, power, timing, can switch the way he switches,” he said.

“That has the toughest, the meanness that he has, the way he finishes guys, the way he breaks down guys.

“He’s one of the smartest guys that I’ve ever seen in the ring, right up there with Floyd Mayweather.”
