Canelo Alvarez to announce his major career move

Canelo Alvarez will reportedly provide an update about his boxing career.

The Mexican superstar will make his special announcement on TV Azteca in his native Mexico on Tuesday, February 13.

No details or hints were mentioned about Canelo’s next move.

“The undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Álvarez visits his home TV, Azteca, to make important announcements about his career.”

It is worth noting that the 33-year-old has an upcoming bout on May 4.

Boxing Scene reported that Canelo’s camp has entered negotiations with fellow Mexican Jaime Munguia (43-0-34).

However, Boxing Scene mentioned that the talks remain very much in the preliminary stage.

Munguia recently came off a stoppage victory over John Ryder.

The young fighter called out Canelo, albeit in a respectful manner.

“It would be a great fight amongst Mexicans, and if Canelo gives us the chance.

“It would be an honor to share the ring with him.”
