Matchroom Boxing will stage the Jaron Ellis-Cody Crowley welterweight title fight after winning the purse bid, according to sources.

MATCHROOM WINS ENNIS-CROWLEY PURSE BID OVER TGB PROMOTIONS
Matchroom Boxing declared $3.9 million to win the Ennis-Crowley purse bid over the $2 million put up by TGB Promotions.
The purse bid result was crucial for Ennis (31-0, 28 KOs), who is now finally linked to a major promoter.
Promoter Eddie Hearn is looking to stage Ennis’ next fight at the Wells Fargo Center in his native Philadelphia.
“Everybody in Philly’s been waiting for this. There hasn’t been a fight in Philly in a while or even a big fight,” Ennis told ESPN.
“Nobody’s fought at the Wells Fargo Center yet. They haven’t had a big fight (in Philadelphia) in a long time,” he added.
ENNIS TO EARN $3.3 MILLION FOR CROWLEY FIGHT IN JULY
Ennis is slated to earn $3.3 million for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight title fight.
The 26-year-old signed a multi-fight deal with Matchroom early this month.
Ennis, who was rated No.3 by ESPN at welterweight was promoted as champion in November.
Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs), was stripped by the IBF of the title after he pulled out due to an injury.
Ennis last fought in July, when he defeated Roiman Villa in a 10th-round knockout win.

MATCHROOM WANTS ENNIS TO UNIFY WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION
Matchroom wants Ennis to unify the welterweight division with Crawford and Errol Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will moving in weight.
Mario Barrios is the WBC interim champion, while Eimantas Stanionis is the WBA “regular” champion.
Crawford will face Israil Madrimov for the junior middleweight title in Los Angeles on August 3.
“I think they’re achievable, realistic fights because (Staniosis and Barrios) need a big fight and he (Ennis) will be a big fight for them,” Hearn said.
Crowley (22-0, 9 KOs) will settle for $585,000 should he agree to face Ennis.
The 31-year-old Canadian is coming off a majority decision win over Abel Ramos in March.
