Garcia positive from banned PED

According to ESPN’s Mike Copinger, reportedly tested positive for Ostarine in his Voluntary Anti-Doping Association.

The 25-year-old first screened positive from 19-norandrosterone, although it remains unconfirmed.

He has 10 days to request his B-sample be tested.

Haney was supposed to put his WBC super lightweight title on the line. However, Garcia became ineligible after coming in three pounds overweight at weigh-ins.

Haney’s father, Bill Haney, spoke with Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix.

“You trying to hurt my baby,” Bill Haney said. “We played it fair. We didn’t do it like that. F–k boxing, this is some bulls–t. I came from the streets.”

“You scared of Devin on a level playing field. I feel f–ked up over this. If you can brag about doing it, you shouldn’t be on drugs.”

Garcia denies allegations

Garcia denied the PED allegations in a series of posts on X.

He also posted a picture of an ashwagandha root supplement.

At the same time, Garcia went live on his social media to question the timing of the release.

“It’s the weirdest s**t ever,” he said. “Supposedly they had it already, then they release it after I win? It makes no sense … I tested the day of the fight, all of the sudden it came out. Bulls**t. Bro, somebody paying somebody … This is definitely fake news.”

“If they had this information, they should’ve released this before the fight went down, because why would you let a cheater step into the ring, right? All of the sudden I win, and then you release it? Seems kind of fishy to me.”

“I know in my heart of hearts I didn’t cheat. So I’m going to keep trolling this s**t, this s**t is f***ing hilarious. At the end of the day, I’m definitely innocent.”
