Teofimo Lopez to Terence Crawford: ‘A human just like me’

Teofimo Lopez is not backing down on his call out on Terence Crawford, saying he is “a human just like me.”

“He fights ugly…”

In an interview on Punsh Drunk Boxing, Lopez, 25, continued his campaign to challenge Crawford.

To recall, Crawford, the current unified welterweight champion, took a shot at Lopez after his controversial unanimous decision win over Jamaine Ortiz.

“Talk all that sh!t about me and lost,” Crawford wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Like I told him focus on who you fighting not me. @Teofimo Lopez back to the drawing board you go[,] chump.”

“Catchweight what?” Crawford continued. “This guy is crazy, but he knows what’s up he just trying to use my name for promotion.”

In return, Lopez took a shot at Crawford’s fighting style and appearance.

“We bleed the same. He’s just uglier. That motherf— is ugly. Ugly, f— ugly. I don’t know how this man gets…he’s ugly. Sh!t. He even fights ugly. I’ll be real with y’all,” Lopez said.

Lopez also shut down comments from Keyshawn Davis and Shakur Stevenson because they didn’t want to fight their so-called “Mack Daddy”.

“It’s all clout. They don’t want me to fight their big boy. They don’t want me to fight their Mack Daddy who is Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford. He’s the mack daddy of all those guys,” he said.

The smack continues

Crawford quickly dismissed Lopez’s condition, since he only wanted the fight to be in a catchweight division.

However, Lopez clarified that he would fight Crawford between 147 to 154 pounds.

“When I said I would fight him at a catchweight, he knows what I meant by that because I’ve been saying that to everybody prior,” Lopez said.

“I’ll fight you between 147 and 154, I’ll fight you, but then he said go back to the drawing board. That man don’t want no part of me, man. I’m telling you he don’t want no part of me because he knows he’s gon’ have to fight me.

“Crawford is the only reason why I came back (from retirement), anyways, to get that triple crown (third title in a third division),” Lopez added.
