Trainer ‘BoMac’ explains why Munguia ‘can’t beat’ Canelo

BOMAC ‘DONT GIVE A DAMN’ WHAT MUNGUIA DOES

McIntyre insisted Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) is just not yet at the level of Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs).

The trainer described Alvarez as someone who faced some of the best in his class.

“He (Munguia) won’t (beat Alvarez). I don’t give a damn what he do,” McIntyre told KO Artist Sports.

The trainer of Terence Crawford and Chris Eubank Jr cited Munguia’s lack of big fights as one of the reasons the Mexican can’t go toe to toe against Alvarez.

CANELO ARMED WITH MANY BIG FIGHTS, BOMAC SAYS

In contrast, Alvarez has fought the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, Amir Khan, and Gennady Golovkin, as some of the best he has fought.

“He’s (Alvarez) been in with the best, and Munguia ain’t had no big fight like that,” McIntyre said.

“All the big fights that Canelo has had, and the waters he’s tested and all the weight classes, I can’t see it (Munguia beating Alvarez),” the trainer added.

The Alvarez-Munguia match will be shown on Amazon Prime and DAZN PPV as part of the deal signed by both fighters.
