TSZYU SEEKS SECOND-ROUND KO OF THURMAN IN VEGAS

The 29-year-old Australian is convinced he can knock out Thurman in two rounds as the two collide in Las Vegas on March 30. Tszyu will fight with a catchweight of 155 pounds.

“I’m going to knock you out in two. That’s what it is,” Tszyu told Thurman in their Q&A session on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) Instagram website.”I’m going to show you why I was born into this life because I like to punch, and I like to fight.”

The son of former world light-welterweight champion Kostya Tszyu responded when Thurman called him “timid” while he was speaking during the press conference.

THURMAN TAUNTS TSZYU, CALLS HIMSELF ‘HUNGRY’ FIGHTER

Thurman claimed he was the only hungry fighter Tszyu would face for a long time after PBC picked him to face the Australian.

“They picked some nice fights for you. Them dudes ain’t hungry like me, bro,” Thurman said. “You said you’re going to knock me out. You said it timidly.”

“I’d like for you to say it with your chest. Am I not the biggest name you’ve been in the ring with? Stop playing with yourself,” he added.

The Thurman-Tszyu fight is PBC’s first kickoff event with Amazon Prime PPV.
