Tyron Woodley calls out Manny Pacquiao for a fight

Former UFC champion Tyron Woodley calls out Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao by issuing him a boxing challenge.

Woodley wants to fight Pacquiao

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Woodley revealed that there has been a negotiation between him and Pacquiao’s camp for months.

However, the two sides have yet to reach an agreement. 

Woodley proceeded to criticize the 45-year-old Pacquiao for his negotiation tactics.

“I don’t want it all to fall off the table from greed. It’s really greed,” Woodley said. “He’s getting a handsome-a** purse. So he wants more, and you made x amount of dollars in your prime, but this is a different type of fight…

“I’m on the opposite end. Every fight now, I’m making more than when I was in my UFC prime…I’m making more each fight, and that’s what I’m looking forward to. I’m a little different, I’m willing to budge a little bit because I’m still gonna make more every single time. He’s been a little ‘thot’ out there, facing off with someone else…keep your body safe for me, so I can beat it up!”

Woodley also revealed he was supposed to fight Pacquiao’s longtime rival, Floyd Mayweather, last year.

“I was supposed to be the original fight, and the plug kind of got pulled,” Woodley said.

Woodley, 41, only has two boxing appearances in his resume — both of which were against Jake Paul.

Woodley lost to Paul via split decision in August 2021 before suffering a knockout defeat to the “Problem Child” four months later.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao last fought DK Yoo in an exhibition match in December 2022.

The eight-division world champion expressed his interest in a more serious potential return, as he recently hinted at a match against Conor Benn.
